Meet-N-Greet: Serena and Jeana Krune
We sat down with Serena and Jeana at the Transplant Games in Cleveland OH, where donors, recipients, and families participate in multi-sport games to promote the need for organ & tissue donation.
Serena is a two-time kidney recipient. Her second kidney transplant was donated from a living donor. They had 45 people come forward and be tested to see if they were a match from their community. One of them ended up being a match and she graciously donated her kidney to Serena. Now 10 years later Serena is doing well and is living life to the fullest.
Serena and Jeana truly believe that organ donation is a miracle because it allows for a second chance at life. It makes you want to live life to the fullest. You want to make sure that every day counts and what you do on this Earth impacts
